Senior Information Architect
Contract, 12 months
Location: Southlake, TX near DFW Airport
Essential Job Functions:
As part of the Global Customer Experience/User Interface team, the Information Architect (IA) is responsible for collaborating with User Interface Design, Usability Testing, Product Managers and Product Development teams; all from various locations around the globe, to create a converged site for the client and its regional brands. This position draws upon expert knowledge of Interaction Design and Content Management Systems.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required in graphic design, library sciences, interaction design, design planning, literature, communications, cognitive psychology or human-centered design preferred.
- Ability to collaborate visually and facilitate the visual representation of concepts in a virtual work environment
- Solid command of User Experience offerings across research and design
- Knowledge of user behavior and site technical organization and operations
- Strong sense of process and the ability to innovate on process tools and conventions
- Ability to work collaboratively on multi-disciplinary teams
- Experience in working on multiple projects
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- 4+ years combined experience in Information Architecture, Interaction Design, Human Factors Engineering, Cognitive Science, and usability testing in the development of web sites and/or web-based applications.
- Content management systems and/or content display systems
- E-commerce applications
- Participation in global project efforts and exposure working with different countries
